3-9/3-10-25 stay. I needed a quick overnight due to misremembering the start date of my reservations at Valley of Fire St Pk & this is an open BLM spot not too far from the southern entrance to the park. There were a lot of people there, but there was plenty of room to be far enough away from your neighbors that there wasn’t any issues. It’s a great spot to use as a base to explore Valley of Fires if you can’t get into the state park campgrounds. I have Verizon & had enough coverage to make calls & stream movies/videos on my iPad.

Second time staying at Snow Mesa and absolutely love it. Quiet. The stars are amazing. Plenty of space to make your own. Also felt very safe. Were able to stream football from the cell service.

We passed up the few remaining sites in Valley of Fire (crowded and adjacent to pit toilets) and came to Snowbird Mess as our contingency plan. So glad we did! Even though during the mid-March peak season, there were plenty of great sites on the edge of the bluff with no one closer than 200 yards. Majestic, sweeping views in all directions. The best peace and quiet one could ask for. And free. It does get windy here but that’s standard for the whole Lake Meade area. We dumped our small amount of trash in the state park during our paid day-use visits. We’ll come here first next time!

Our first boondocking experience! We got up the gravel road with our Class B. On top of a Mesa with overlook. It was quiet with many other campers. It was very windy the night we were there. Nice stars at night.

Excellent flat area with plenty of room to spread out. Road up to it will be fine for any Class B and many others. Good cell reception.

Fantastic views and great location! It is dispersed camping so make sure that you have enough propane and water. We have a 38' class A and was easily able to drive it up and park it with no issues. The ground is rock and very sturdy.

Beautiful views on large flat mesa. Fairly steep hill to get to flat area, but all size units seem doable. If don't want this hill, choose poverty flats right beside. That seems more crowded, but flat in and out. Description of 'toilets, trail, hike' seems inaccurate, although it is beautiful to hike the dispersed camping area.
