Nice free camping site near Telluride. A large portion of it has been blocked off by the forest service so it was a bit crowded when we stayed which was a Monday-Wednesday. Mostly travel trailers/RV’s but some tent campers which appeals to them since there is an restroom across the highway. Great views of the mountains.

Beautiful area to camp. When you enter the dirt road you can go right which leads to a large open area with several sites. You can also stay to the left and go farther for some nice individual sites

Road is more suited for high clearance vehicles, but we made it in a class c motor home. There are a few isolated campsites, that are well spaced. Beautiful views. No facilities, free. We had several campers in the campground but felt very isolated, some where in tents, a couple in trailers. The views are what make this campground.
