The other reviewer is wrong. Laurel Springs is at the base of Laurel My- you can see the aspen give from Hwy 395. I used to camp there because bears never came out from the forested areas on Sherwin Ck Rd through the sagebrush out to the springs, but this year they have... This is an unimproved camping area. The other reviewer took the 4x4 road up to Laurel Lks. Laurel Springs is accessible by car and is heavily used except when bears chase campers away.

This place was so much fun. The road to the lake is pretty rocky, making it a slow ride. Lots of loose rock. Once you see the lake and start making your way down there are 2 hairpin turns. There’s enough space to pull in and turn around on the small pullout, making the turn more manageable. All this was done in a Stock Jeep with regular street tires and got through no problem
