Campground was very small but very nice. Camp hosts are super sweet.
Did not use the facilities. Shaded, not packed in, fairly level spot. Kids loved riding their bikes around (benefit to small CG) and I could keep my eye on them. Wish there was a spot to play with the dog but not a deal breaker. Would stay here again.

All of Custer State Park’s campgrounds are simply a great experience and highly sought after. Strongly recommend advanced reservations or roll the dice on cancellations ( like us). The veteran returnees reserve a year in advance and book the entire 14day stay limit. As a 100 yr old facility campgrounds are smaller in capacity, but very intimate. Our host from Ohio was in his late eighties and had returned for last ten years. Fabulous recreation with pristine water sheds feeding numerous lakes and streams. Resident Buffalo herd maintained at 1400 are never too far away. Nestled in the southern part of the Black Hills they are the essence of what the land has represented to South Dakotans forever. Good luck.

Very nice small CG. Hosts were extremely nice and told us to say we were a tent so we could get a site for the nite. We are not a tent... ;-)
Shower/bath was very clean. Custer State Park is way cool and the facilities are top shelf. The Needles Hwy is a MUST DO, but the RV will not fit. (TV did)
The park is a bit pricey, but well worth it. Sites are all paved and level. Mount Rushmore is near as well. All are recommended.
