I tend to agree with the other comments. The staff were friendly and helpful. The sites are close together essentially in a field. They have an unusual water hookup with shared spigots. Our site was level and did fine for one night. I wanted to avoid staying here having been here once before but it was the closest in terms of distance between campgrounds on our trip through.

Nope 4papa, the west side of this campground was not quieter. There were no rangers or managers visible on the west side - we had to go to the east side to register. That didn’t seem like a big deal at 3pm, but there didn’t seem to be anyone supervising after dark either. The 10pm-7am quiet hours were completely ignored with campers throwing firecrackers, playing loud music and hosting visitors coming and going in cars until nearly 2am. The tent campers in the site next to us threw their tent and their supplies in their car at midnight and left in disgust. So the east side is right on busy Hwy 89 and the west side is unsupervised and a wild free for all. We will not be back and that’s really sad because this campground is smack in the middle of the beautiful and interesting Finger Lakes region of New York.

The park consists of two parts, split by state highway 89. The eastern (half) is on the lake while the western half has the bulk of the campsites. We stayed on the eastern side for proximity to the lake with about a 10 minute walk to the waters edge. There are electric hookups at the sites but not city water. Water is available from roadside spigots. Other than close proximity to the lake there is little to recommend the eastern side of the park. Sites are very close together and worse, they’re all right next to the very noisy and busy state highway that runs the length of the lake. The western side of the park should be quieter.
