I agree with the reviews before about how beautiful and convenient this park is. Great playgrounds, ok bathrooms, full hook ups in good shape but I caution anyone who has trailer longer than 20’ about using spaces in ccc area that are on water. Sites 86, 88, 90 are not even close to level. We were at site 90. They are all washed out on sides and very narrow so after the time it took for us to back in there (husband used to drive big rigs) our bottom step hung over the washed out area so jump down was two feet onto rock and roots. We couldn’t disconnect the truck since the slopes were so off and put too much pressure on sway bars and hitch. There was a loose dog all evening so we had to keep walks short as our large dog is reactive to loose dogs. Luckily this was only a stop over night. This park has the potential to be one of the best but they need money to redo all the pads completely.

4 stars for beautiful park. Bath house looks newer but I’m self contained and didn’t use. The pads are older and narrow but did their job. I have a class B. Some bigger rigs take up the whole pad. Easy place to stop for the night right off 20. Barely hear traffic. Snagged the last spot for one night. Traveling alone and felt very safe.

Pulled in after 1700. Nice drive in the park with a 36’DP. Trees are trimmed and no low branches. Stayed at waterfront site. $34.00. Lots of empty spots so not busy. 211104

A little run down but not a bad park - we were in site 55 which was pretty level - other sites not so - slight is in the beholder and I wouldn’t call most sites slight - roads are narrow but a nice park to stay at - trails and disc golf plus the lake

This is our 2nd time here. Stayed 3 days last March and 4 days this time in January 2020. Quiet and beautiful. Campsite 87 both times on the lake. Enjoyed our stay both times however this park seems a bit rundown and facilities not maintained. Both bathrooms not very clean showers in pretty bad shape.

Roads too narrow for big rigs. Sites hard to get in and short. Beautiful park with lake.

We backed into a lovely, peaceful treed setting right beside the water. The site had a large concrete pad with plenty of space for our 23 ft class C. One of the things we love about state parks is that the sites are not right on top of one another, and this site did not disappoint. The restrooms/showers were clean and met our needs.

Staff is very friendly! We didn’t have a problem making as reservation upon arrival. However, the roads are very narrow in the campground, making it a difficult to back into some of the sites. Also, the sewer hole was up hill at our site, making it difficult to dump. But for $24 a night, it’s a great spot! The lake is beautiful and the park is clean. The bathhouses are heated and maintained. Would recommend!

Overall we loved Roosevelt. We had a good view of the lake (site 93, CCC Campground). Our kids loved the slide and pool near the RO Hannah Campground ($11 per person per day for both or $6 for just the pool I believe). We didn't use the playgrounds or swimming area in the lake, but they looked fun. As others mentioned, some of the roads are narrow and have rough spots, but we did fine getting in and out. Our site was good, but we didn't have a fire ring as others did (we created our own fire pit area). There is a gas station across from park entrance that sells firewood. There were a few sites down from us (across from 83 and 85) which had standing water. I wouldn't have been happy with those sites. Concrete pads are a bit narrow. Sites 83, 85, & 87 looked the best to us as they were on the lake and seemed to have the most room. Our bathhouse wasn't the best. There was no soap, and stall doors didn't latch, and they were fairly dated. We did attempt to hike one of the trails, but we had to stop as there were several marshy areas with no bridges. Roosevelt is near our house and we enjoyed our stay, so we plan to camp here again.

This is a very nice campground. Roads in are rough but ok if you take it slow. The pads are all concrete. They are narrow for modern RVs but doable. Full hook ups with 50 amps, even sewer! The view of the lake is beautiful and it was so quiet. A real treat. We will definitely stay there again.
