Nice quiet park. Short walk to slightly dated bathhouse. Bathhouse was clean with plenty of hot water. RV site was nice, level concrete with concrete pad for picnic table too. Easy checkin with online purchase of reservations. Stayed 2 nights while touring Natchez. Only negative comment is there is no lighting other than at the bathhouse. Park was black as coal and must have flashlight to get around after dark.

Stayed here as a stopover between Natchez and Vicksburg. The sites were close. Ours was a double but no one else checked in. Even so, we could hear the conversations at the next door tent. We stayed at a site close to the showers which were nice and hot. The campground could use updating but certainly worked for us. We'd stay here agin!

Lots of driving to get around! We had been told that primitive camping was just past the RV campground, but in fact it was before, so drove for more than 30 minutes trying to find the tent area. In the end we camped in the RV campground. The bathhouse was just okay. It poured rain all night long, but we stayed dry until we tried to take the tents down to leave - still raining. Just saying there was no puddling at our site. Nothing special here, but the location between Vicksburg and Natchez worked well for our travel.

Campground 1 is signed as campground A and 2 is B. The office is several miles from the campground. There are a lot state vehicles driving that could have could could have checked people in.

Registration as a first-come was problematic. We had to go back ourselves and find sites with no reservation dates written on them, then hurry back to the office to check in. Also, there is no room to turn a big rig with toad around without damage down there at the office. Tree limbs were trimmed nicely, but the curbs were inescapable. It just seemed a rather unfriendly process. Loved the attractions nearby though, so ended up having a marvelous stay.
