Have stayed here twice before with no issues. Went on their website to book another visit. They use an online booking/reservation system. You put in the dates you are going to be there and a map of the campground comes up showing you the sites that are available for your stay. You choose your site and book your reservation. I did this, paid the fee and received a confirmation. We had a two week trip planned and this campground was to be the third leg of our trip. We hit the road thinking everything was planned out, reserved and paid for. Over two weeks after making the reservation, we came back to our camper from a day outing and found that a voice message had been left on my phone stating that the online reservation system had allowed me to book a site that was not available. It was a long term site and was occupied. They had canceled our reservation and refunded our payment. Nothing else was available now. I called back and spoke to Mike. I was quite upset. Why did they wait over two weeks to contact me??? When I first made the reservation, there were several available sites. By the time we were called and canceled, less than a week from our scheduled arrival, nothing was available. We had to scramble to find somewhere else to go as we were already on the road traveling. Anyone that has tried to schedule last minute during this time of COVID-19 and increased camping has found that can be a challenge. I do not intend to camp at Chantilly Farms campground again. There is no reason they waited over two weeks to contact us and let us know there was a problem. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

We have stayed here twice, once in a pull through site and, most recently in site 8, a superb back-in site that overlooks the lower campground. WiFi is good and the grounds are nice. Great hiking and lunching point for biking. There are tons of dirt roads and the BRP close by. Gave 4 versus 5 stars since sites are gravel and can get muddy. Floyd is a funky town worth visiting.

We planned a group of Hymer van owners to meet here in early June. We had about 24 vans show up and the weather was pretty horrible. Rained the entire time! We started on top of the hill which was beautiful but relocated down near the stage because they allowed us to use it for our group to meet on due to the weather. Everyone was wonderful , facilities were so clean and the area is beautiful !

Just a few minutes off the BRP (exit is between mile markers 159 & 160), this hilltop large mostly open meadow was a great stay. RVs of all sizes are accommodated. Checkin was easy as we had reserved weeks ahead. WIFI coverage was adequate. Nearby town of Floyd VA has several restaurants, a large grocery store and an ABC store plus more. Rained the entire time we were here (never saw the sun) but we did tour much of the local area and found the rolling countryside to be lush and green. Hope to return when we have a shot at seeing stars at night.

Beautiful location. Friendly staff. RV sites are well maintained and level. New bathhouse was very nice. Would recommend if in the area!

Our ride from north of Roanoke was in the rain and fog not to mention the traffic in Roanoke it seemed we would never get here. Good roads with some curves but smooth. Registered at the self service office (it was after hours) and even called the the telephone number posted on the office with a question. Good gravel roads and sites. My site was very level. I feel like Im in the middle of nowhere. The visibility is restricted right now but I do have mountain views and a large farm down below me. I bet this is great for leaf watching. The owners have pride in this campground and it shows! Clean and very well kept. I didn't use the restrooms or showers. Three class A's and a large 5th wheel are here. I'm in a 21 foot Chinook. Free wifi was fast and strong. Good lighting. Verizon 3 dot LTE and several over the air stations when pointing toward Roanoke. My app shows the elevation of 2480 feet. I never expected such a nice place out in the middle of wherever I am. I like it!
