Nice campground. We stayed just for an overnight, but the sites were large, with a very large grassy area in the center of the loop. Decent bathrooms and showers. It is on the river and has a nice walk to the river day use area, and a disc golf course.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon and decided to spend a second night so we could explore the history of the area related to the Oregon Trail. Our site was level and with electric and water. Electricity was crucial since it was 104 degrees and the AC was a necessity. The sites in the upper campground are spacious and for the most part shaded by large trees with plenty of distance between sites. We got NBC for over the air TV for the evening news which is all we want. Cell service with Verizon was slow but worked.

Came here mid week in early September, 100 degrees. We stayed in the wagon wheel area and were thankful for the electrical service (30 amp) to run our AC. Water pressure was good, site was a bit off level both front to back and side to side. Upper camping area has much larger sites but some are sunnier, but there are enough trees that most sites look to have some shade. Over the air channels were not so hot. Verizon service was about 3 bars. There is a large day use area, and some cabins to rent. Funny thing we found lacking is that there is little to no Snake River access, and the park is located on the river. This is a good mid week overnight destination while in route to other area. Other commenters state it gets busy, probably due to proximity to Boise. There doesn’t seem to be much more to do than the Oregon Trail historical info. Otherwise, this is a good spot for families to hang out on the endless lushly green grass. Hosts were very helpful/friendly.

Area is beautiful and historically interesting. Sites are reasonably well laid out and there is plenty of well-tended space. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is no WiFi as advertised. Not easy to find a site without a reservation.

Went with small trailer on a Friday, everything reserved. Every campsite had a paper or a reserved sign. No one to ask. Host not there. Half the sites empty.
Full of glaring locals. Get the picture?
We hightailed out of there. Shame, it was pretty.
Pricey for one night. No senior rates Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Went to Walmart.

Nice location adjacent to the Snake River. Some campsites are close together and it fills on the weekend. Grounds are kept green and clean. They were very helpful when I had questions about the surrounding area. The only negative is it gets crowded on the weekend.
