Family-friendly campground with clean and roomy facilities, plenty of trees and well-spaced spots. Deer were in our campsite when we arrived, and the park offers plenty of trail hiking right from the campground, along with paved and unpaved paths for bikes. Campground is a short drive or bike ride to McCall, with plenty of shops and dining opportunities.

We stayed in the Aspen Campground in late September just before the park was shutting down. Some of the sections were already closed. It took a while before we could find a camp site large enough for our 40 ft motor home. Whoever decided to put 8 inch square concrete pilings in the ground and large rocks to delineate the sites didn't realize that they would pose a huge risk to larger motor homes and prevent access to many of the sites by limiting the turning radius in and out. The restrooms were very clean and nice and our Verizon hot spot worked very well. We thought the price of $39.00 didn't fit the amenities. Our biggest disappointment was not being able to see the lake from the campground.
