Your basic state park. We stayed in the full hookup side. I almost gave the park four stars because it is clean and all the sites are level cement pad pull throughs with a lot of room between sites. However there are no showers on this side. I guess they figure if you have hookups you can use your own shower. There was a quite a bit of noise from the freeway. There were fire rings. Not a destination spot, but if you are there to see Denver, then this will do. We were only staying for one night but we would come back. We were able to use Verizon.

I guess we didn't understand why this was a state park. We've been all over the USA and usually state parks are large, each site has some privacy, and there are things to see and do. This is a basic campground with small lakes, a river, birds, fish, and that's pretty much it. There are no programs for children, or adults for that matter, a LOT of highway noise, catch and release fishing, and some kayaking. The sites are level concrete pull-thrus. There is no bathhouse on the full hookup side so make sure your toilet and shower are in working order. There is a fire ring, a picnic table with cover at each site. Firestone has King Sooper's grocery store (Kroger affiliate) closeby that was completely amazing. If ever in the area again, we probably wouldn't stay here as a first choice.

We stayed for 2 weeks back in October 2019 and is still one of our favorite state park campgrounds across the country. We love the close access to the interstate, the views of the Rockies and the full hook up sites. Since we were there for 2 weeks we purchased the annual vehicle pass which was cheaper than paying the daily use fee. I really don’t understand all of the negative reviews. If you review their website, their fees for sites and daily use are clearly listed. If it’s too much for you, don’t book a site. We loved it and next year when we head out on the road again to full time, we will definitely be staying here for 2 weeks again!

One Star. I would give less but the review doesn’t let me. Do not stay here. Save your self the money and the hidden fees. One of our members was harassed by park staff and told to leave. Which caused me to book another site which I did not get a refund after the park staff decided we could stay. I had a reservation!!!! Bathroom and showers are sub par. And the rules here are outrageous. Don’t dare leave one inch of your vehicle in the road!!!

We stayed one night in one site and are booked one more night in a site adjacent. I was readying to change sites when I noticed the camp host with a large spray bottle spraying around our next site. When I walked over and asked what he was spraying he told me Preen weed killer. Round Up basically. It’s a known carcinogen! If you have kids or pets avoid the grass! Plus the price gauging and road noise also kills this place.

Nice enough park if they didn’t gouge the prices. They charge $40 for hook ups and a $9 per day fee! We were parked on a nice slab overlooking a pond . On the other side of the pond is the frickin interstate. Non stop traffic noise ruins the visit. Wanted to be near Boulder and the Fairgrounds campground is closed.

June 2020. Beware there is a a $9. day pass fee in addition to your campsite fee for each day you stay at St. Vrain State Park. You also must have your tow vehicle attached to your motorcoach when you check in. The campsites are near the interstate but there are beautiful views west toward the Rockies. There are no swimming areas in the lakes, but it’s great for kayaking and fishing.

Nice camping spot with level concrete pads. Beautiful views of the mountains and lots of small lakes and ponds for fishing and bird watching. Would have given 5 stars but found that both men’s and women’s showers were not available for the entirety of our stay (1week). No signs were posted as to the reason. The camp host said that the showers were vandalized and would not be repaired any time soon. Luckily there was 1 family restroom with a shower. On our last day the entire building containing the men’s and women’s showers and the family restroom was locked, again with no explanation as to why. Communication as to the status of the showers/restroom could be improved. The staff we interacted with was very friendly so we may stay again and hope the showers are fixed.

Great park, very pleasant with several fishing ponds and wonderful views of the mountains and Long’s Peak. Right off I-25, so there is some highway noise in the middle distance, which is easy to ignore. Convenient to Longmont. Friendly staff and hosts. Sites are pretty level.

Uncrowded CG but close to I25 and noisy. They were killing fish in pond and it smelled!
