We stayed here in mid October for one afternoon and evening. The other part of the park was closed for the winter. The park is near I-5 and the reservoir and surrounding area was pretty. Our campsite was right near the water as are most of the sites. There is a very long paved walking path all the way around the reservoir and there are lots of deer in the park. When we were there they were having problems with very heavy algae blooms in the reservoir. We tried fishing but the algae was too much to enjoy fishing. Our hooks and lures were getting tangled up in the algae with every cast so we gave up on fishing and simply enjoyed the view from our rig. We have a 25’ Tiffin motorhome and fit in the site, but any longer than about 30’ could be an issue.

We stopped here for the night on our way to Paso Robles. It was nice because it was along the way, right off of highway 5. The was not much to see but the lake was nice. There were some people fishing and they seem to be doing great.
Only two issues...
The lady who over sees the campground is very nosey. She kept coming over to our site to let us know her "extra" rules. She was a little strange.
Second, the lake smelled really awful! It smelled like sewage in the morning. I never did figure out why.
Overall it was nice...
