Wonderful museum with great staff that tells the history of the area in the old days. We stayed for the night and shared the lot with a few trucks and have no complaints. We even found time to see the volunteer fire museum walking distance down the road.

Spent a Sunday night in September 2023 in a Class B.
There’s a large separate RV/truck parking lot close to the museum. Aside from the gentle purring from the 3 semis, it was quiet. No amenities but Verizon wifi coverage was good. Best part, it's free! The museum is definitely worth visiting.

For a free place to park without worrying about the middle of the night knock to vacate, it beats the Walmart parking lot. It’s level, and there was only one other rig. Just wear earplugs to dampen the freeway noise.

I like free, lots of space, grass for the dogs. Pond nearby, noise from freeway but not that bad. Hiking area too. 38 ft 5th wheel. I'll stop again .

Had the whole place to myself all night and there had been zero vacant parking at the last two rest stops on the way. On Sundays the museum doesn't open until noon, so I'll weather this morning snow storm alone.

Great place to overnight if you don't mind noise from I-80. The noise dies down later at night. The parking lot is fairly level and there was ample room as it was just myself and two other rigs.
An added bonus is free wi-fi. I was able to catch up on some things that needed a reliable internet connection.

FYI Just did our overnight parking with JAYCO BHTS TRavel trailer and it was wonderful. Free and quiet. Safe travels!

Arch goes right over the freeway. There is a large set of parking lots where you can park or overnight for free. It seems you can come and go as you want though it is probably a good idea to check in. Besides the arch ($12 regular $11 senior, $6 kids) there seems to be a pioneer or Indian display nearby that is free. The arch is not the attraction in the way St. Louis one is. Inside is a history center of the platt river road, a history of the great migration in the 1800s, and that is the attraction.
