This campground is primarily inhabited by seasonal employees on Mount Desert Island. Because of this the campground does not cater to the traditional camping family. The campsite was definitely quiet as the name suggests. There were amenities like showers, laundry, a dishwashing station, and two bath houses. The proprietor is very relaxed so it will take some patience to connect with her and make your initial reservation. This is a very cost-effective campground if you don't mind a more rustic setting with showers close to Acadia National Park. (Acadia National Park Campgrounds do not have showers onsite.) In this campground's case, you really do get what you pay for.
