We spent 4th of July here and couldn’t have been happier with the place. We had a beautiful site right on the canyon #9, and although the park was pretty full one or two of the nights, it never felt crowded. There are horse stalls included and although we don’t have horses, we thought it was fun to see them. There are hiking trails (somewhat overgrown right now, but pretty scenery). The showers were super clean, we didn’t use the bathrooms. The only negative is there were ticks, so be tick aware! We would return for sure.

We spent the weekend at Little Missouri State Park Campground. It is mainly a horse park, so we were assigned a couple corrals that we didn’t need. The kids enjoyed seeing other campers riding their horses. Tons of trailheads near this site. Amazing views as well! Not far from Theodore Roosevelt National Park - North Unit.
There are paid showers on site ($0.50 per 4 minutes) that are extremely clean and updated. Vaulted toilets are available as well. Most sites are back-in with 30/50 amp services. No sewer or water hook-ups, but there is a dump site.
We will definitely be coming back! Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the lack of sewer hookups at our campsite.
