This is a great place to camp provided you don't need services. The wooded sites are beautiful and well spaced. There are nice hiking trails and a short walk to the Camp Creek Campground store. The sites are mostly level and the creek behind them adds a nice ambiance provided it has rained within the last few days. Verizon phone service is useable... good enough to call but not good enough to stream. The best sites are the ones near the back (7-11).

Very nice stop, convenient to the freeway and very pretty. No services, although is is adjacent to the Camp Creek Campground that has services. The Bluejay sites are large and wooded, backing up to a creek. Nicely spaced. Site 8 is one of the best ones. Marginal cell service. Some nice hiking trails up the mountain. Worth the $25 if you don’t need services (there is a dump station on the way out).

The Blue Jay Campground at Cabin Creek State Park consists of 13 rustic sites located fairly close together along Cabin Creek. Each each camp site has a picnic table and fire ring and the campground had a pit toilet and drinking fountain. Campground is officially open April 1-November 1, but campers are welcome year around weather permitting.
