Stayed 5 days in April 2018, 22’ trailer. Awesome place, good easy trails. Yes there were a few homeless there, but everyone very friendly.
We would stay again.

Location is beautiful. About 1/2 the sites are right on the river. One pot toilet...they could really use a dumpster here. At least 1/3 of the sites are home to the homeless, nice folks, no trouble just messy.

At entrance. Nice tables and fire pit/rings, no bear boxes or Water.RT ON the trinity river. My guess is, that it's full ALWAYS when weather is nice.

Beautiful riverfront campground, amazing that it I free. One of the nicest I've been to. 12+ ft clearance, smooth gravel roads and pullouts maybe 60 ft deep, some pull through. Pit toilets. No water or hookups.
