The Creek fire has destroyed most of this area. There are still pockets of beautiful forest but there are many completely burned out sections that will be ugly for many years. At least I was able to see this area in it's prime.

Semi-paved road leads along ridge here with tons of dispersed camping sites. This is national forest and camping is permitted up to 2 weeks but limit is only sporadically enforced. Amazing area in the pines with many trails for hiking and atv'ing. Highly recommended summer area.
