Clean and well kept. Level gravel/ dirt spaces with ample room. Caretakers are so kind and welcoming. Nice overnight stop. Will definitely stay again.

There are 3 different campgrounds each with ~200+ spots. They are all shaped for livestock pens (wide and shallow) not buses but if its not busy you can park on the end of an row. The campground with the caregiver who checks you in is the "pilot campground" at the "livestock" entrance. You can ask to camp elsewhere if you prefer motorcycles to animals. This is a working livestock fair and motocross raceway so you will be sharing space with animals and people racing motorcycles. Its an absolutely huge property so you can usually park several slots away from other people if you want. Be sure to check the schedule to avoid big event days as it can get stinky/noisy/busy. County Fairs seem to have the best bathrooms and this one is excellent, clean and modern. Verizon had strong three bars. I'd absolutely stay here again..just not on a day with 800 slots full of sheep :)

Big campground. Whoever designed did a poor job; could have been so good. The big rigs did not fit...had to park sideways and take up 2 spots. Learned later there is a big rig section which was closed (don芒鈧劉t know why). Would have had a very different impression and rating if that had been open because parking a big 5th wheel sideways in these cramped spots surrounded by fences was awful! FHU-50 amp. Gravel. Fairly level. Utility are at the back, but not all sites have sewer...so be sure yours does before you park. Quiet (but park was fairly empty when we were there). OTA TV picks up 3-4 stations of PBS. Verizon service was good. Hard to find entrance...don芒鈧劉t use the 芒鈧揗ain Entrance.芒鈧 Go to the 芒鈧揕ivestock Entrance.芒鈧 The 芒鈧揚ilot Butte Campground芒鈧 is after you turn in. Go down that street almost to the end where you芒鈧劉ll see the sign for the Campground Host turn in. Host is in house surrounded by trees. Don芒鈧劉t know if I would stay here again...perhaps if the big rig section was open...but otherwise, no.

I was there September 22, 2020 and I did not have any problem with flys. Having said that, it is a Fair Grounds and at times during the year there are animals there that could attract flys. I was there only one night and did not have any problem. I agree with the other reviewers. It is easy to find and if there is no Fair, there are plenty of sites.

Great camp host, but the flies were terrible! They would get in any time I opened the door. I had to hunt them last night and this morning. I must have killed at least a dozen. Still have more inside.
I won芒鈧劉t stop here again because of that issue.

This is a great place for a stop over from I 80 if you are in a big rig. Plenty of room. It芒鈧劉s a big gravel lot with full hook ups and Wi-Fi for $33 including tax. It芒鈧劉s not hard to find the camp caretaker as there are plenty of signs showing you how to get there. It芒鈧劉s the house with all the trees around it. It was Wyoming windy while we were there. I was pleasantly surprised to find a horse race going on in Sweetwater downs on the ground as I took a walk around. There is only one campground open during the non-event times.

Sweetwater Event Center campground is Perfect for stopover. Couldn芒鈧劉t be easier. When you arrive (Pilot Butte) call the caretaker, you芒鈧劉ll stop by his house (just past the showers) to pay. There was a huge event going on and they still had plenty of room for us. We paid $33 for full hook ups. Quiet, Level, Clean, private restroom/ showers. Nice sunrise.

Great place to stop over for the night. Regular price for full hookup was $30, military discount was $27.80. We only needed electric, and was only charged $20. Showers are free. There were no events going on, so we had a ton of room.

Reviews are accurate. Gravel lot, no shade, full hook ups ( mostly 50 amp), but for us to get away from the nonstop noise of I-80 it is the only choice. Check in is easy and access to WiFi and bathrooms are without any codes. Not many people staying during our layover so could actually stream video. You芒鈧劉re. Probably passing through anyway ( unless it芒鈧劉s rodeo time) so lack of a little shade is easily overlooked. Will stay here every time. Solid value.
