What a pleasant surprise - a hidden gem! A little campground off 29 tucked on a 2 lane road to the Leesville Dam. When you see a sign that says ‘Dead End’, keep going - at least 3 miles. Registration was actually done while we were parked in the road. Site #16 was level & spacious. Bathhouse has a restroom with a house feel - large, clean, good lighting. We walked to the dam & even jumped into the lake for a refreshing dip.SO quiet - fireflies were out as were many stars & the moon.

Nice little spot about 6 miles off 29. The owners are super nice and very helpful. I had been doing a few days of boondocking and had been driving all day so I just needed a good spot to sleep and hook up for a recharge and a hot shower in my RV. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is my spot is not very level and there seem to be quite a lot of full timers (who are not bothering me). I didn’t explore the lake or use their facilities so so can’t speak to those. Pet friendly, but not a great place to walk them.

Delightful stay in January 2021. Hosts Jeff and Tracy make for a very enjoyable atmosphere and stay. We were there 6 weeks and enjoyed the quiet and beautiful Virginia nature. Spring through fall must be gorgeous since winter was mostly mild with some snow. Compared to up state New York, it was a most welcomed winter change temperature wise. Seeing our daughters who are studying in Lynchburg, priceless!

Stayed one night in a 40’ 5th wheel. Nice clean and well kept park at the end of a dead end road close the Leesville dam. Very quiet, nothing much to do or see here close to the RV park. The upper section full hookup sites are large and can handle any big rig, no shade. The lower section is a little more tight but shaded. Nice pool and propane on site. Did not use the showers or any other amenities. Super friendly and helpful owners. $45.00 / night.

Owners were very helpful, and the site was quite level and solid. Sewer connection was a very long way from the site but water and electric were easily reachable. Note: I found that the approach to the campground was a little confusing as the campground is on a dead end road that is a few miles long and the first sign you see is a big one near a very newly excavated roadway in an area that is being excavated and is bare. So it is not clear that the entrance is still about 1/10th of a mile further. Due to COVID, I did not use their pool, bath house or laundry facilities. I would stay here again now that I know where to turn. Lol.

We stayed at this site on three occasions. The owners (Tracy and Jeff) have always been extremely accommodating. On our most recent visit we had a problem with the electric jack. Jeff stayed with us for almost two hours helping to remedy the problem. We will not hesitate to stay again.

We stayed one night in a 39' motorhome. No staff on site. Our site was taken, which we had been warned might happen. We ended up with one much less level and with a gully in the middle. Judicious placement of large rocks in the mud, under the stabilizers allowed us to find level. All hookups worked. No WiFi. We did not use any of the facilities. It was adequate for overnight
