Here now for Sturgis bike rally. $40/night. Shower house is a couple hundred yard hoof from the campground. Shower was ice cold! Obviously the hot water heater was not turned on. W/E, no sewer but dump station close by. No shade, very urban. Good for an overnight but that’s it.

Actual campground for fairgrounds is located near corner of Centre St and Cambell St - do not use fairgrounds address. Fairly level gravel sites with grass strips between. Each gravel strip is two sites - if you’re lucky and the whole strip is unoccupied, then it’s a long pull through site. Had central electric boxes & water spigots for 4 sites in alternating grassy areas.
Biggest problem is if you don’t call the fairgrounds M-F during business hours to make a reservation, you have to look up the camp host to unlock the electric box on an unoccupied site.
When I got there on a Late Saturday afternoon, found the host gone (on vacation). I checked around and found a couple of sites that had been reserved through the previous day and the electric boxes had not yet been relocked. Will probably end up staying free as there’s no self-pay option.

We stayed on the cement parking lot by the arena. The water and electric are not on the same side. We have a 30amp so cost was $30. There was a horse competition going on but they stopped at 8 pm and was no problem. The dump station was in a large area and well maintained, easy in and out. No excessive traffic. Trains nearby didn’t run at night. Good for overnight, would stay again.

Nice and level pull-throughs with water and electric. Great stop over place for the night. We will stay the next time we are through.

Really no grass for rig, big storm and the lot is all mud, used the horse stall to park the truck and avoid any hail damage so that is a big plus, no one here and no one checked for reservations, stayed 2 nights. Dump station, restrooms and shower.

Good overnite stop. Moderate road noise but no semi’s as this is a 4 lane feeder into south Rapid City. Power and water at sites. There is a shower house, ask for the code. Convenient to downtown and bike path starts here and heads downtown. $30 per nite, plus 2.5% fee when using credit card to pay. We would stay again, friendly staff.
