Camped two nights Sun-Mon Sep 24-25, 2023; only two other campers, but lots of fisherman doing float trips on the Blackfoot and either taking out or putting in at this landing. Quiet, serene, clean and pretty spot ... some highway noise but hardly noticeable at night. It is a MT FWP location, but I wouldn't classify it as a typical "State Park".

It's a rustic campground with nice campsites along the Blackfoot River. There are pit toilets arranged so that you don't have far to walk. Most campsites are level with room for a smaller RV or tent. Water is available at the campground using a hand pump. The toilets were clean and well supplied. Easy access to the river. Clearwater Junction is close if you need to resupply. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the basic rate seem a bit high for primitive camping. However the rates vary greatly depending upon things such as Montana residency and a few other variables. Since I am a MT resident with a fishing license and over 62 we paid only $3.50 per night which was very reasonable.
