Great overnight stop. Pretty green grass & large trees. Our site was raised and level. Water and electricity available plus bathrooms & showers (we didn’t use). Cost $20 a night which you put in an envelope. We were doing genealogical research so it was a perfect place. Wal-Mart nearby. Friendly camp host. The dump connection was under water due to a horrendous rain storm. M

Nice cheap place to stay. Close enough to the Maquoketa river and caves. Site #2 is good and there is a nice creek that runs behind the site where the kids can swim and there is a nice rick to jump into the creek. The host was very nice to us.

This campground is a great place for a stopover or just stay for any extended. If necessary. Not really a fun vacation spot but serves its purpose very well. Bathrooms are clean showers and flush toilets. Wi-Fi is good. Sites aren't always super level but aren't the worst either. I wouldn't pass it by as a place to stay but would definitely not be my first choice for a place of fun. New caretakers aren't as friendly but they don't bother you either

We wanted to stay at the State Campground, but they were full. We found this one close by (15 min). It has great internet. You do hear some road noise but it’s not too much. Electric hooks ups, dump, potable and non-potable water. It looks like there’s a bathhouse as well, but we didn’t utilize it. $17/night.
