Nice park if a bit hard to get to. Good Verizon signal. Clean bathrooms.

It芒鈧劉s a 芒鈧搉ew芒鈧 park compared to many. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Best site one camper is 7. Best site for 2 campers traveling together 11 & 12. Trail system looks nice and extensive but weather has limited our use. Would definitely return. Check in super friendly. Sites 38 and 41 are really weird layout.

We're fairly new RVers and continue to be impressed with Georgia's State Parks. This one is nice with all paved roads and sites with some more level than others. The roads through the campsites are a little confusing so if you can you might want to drive through first to figure out the best route to your site. We have a separate tow car but I know not everyone will be able to do that. We hope to come back when the trees are filled in which should give a little more privacy feel between campsites.

The park staff was very helpful and the sites were very easy to pull in to with a travel trailer. A lot of folks had 5th wheels. The sites and bath facilities looked to be very recent. Showers were very clean and private. There we some short hiking trails, but the real attraction is the access to the lake. Although closed for the season, the swim area looked to be of a very good size and if you have kids, a big playground area. The only negative for me was the sights were very open. Because the place recently looked to have been constructed, there was very little shade around the sites. I'm sure over time this will change as more trees are planted. All in all a good couple nights stay.

The park is a little off the beaten path but it's a nice place for a night or three. Not a destination but I haven't explored the whole place. I'm here to explore the Gainesville area for a possible future place to relocate. Cable television and paved sites are very nice , although everything/every site looks close to the same and it was confusing at first. Shower house was well kept and useable. Verizon LTE had 2-3 bars. It's off the beaten path, but not a bad place to use as a home base to explore the area. No privacy.

Overall, this is a very nice park that is upkept well. It is the newest GA state park and with it being new, I'd expect the layout to be more spacious and make sense. The layout is a cluster and everyone is right on top of each other. Scenes are great if you like the lake view. If you are looking for the forest, this wouldn't be the place to go. Also, the playgrounds are leave a lot to be desired.

Lots of pull thrus. paved sites. Some have views. They actually have a grey water hole at sites. Neat idea. They have the usual no pets on beach rule, since people cant take care of their own. Would visit again.
