This is our second time staying here. I love Lander. It is such a a beautiful western town with friendly people. It is easy finding the City Park. Once you do look for sites with picnic tables and trash cans. It is dry camping. There is a water spigot at the restrooms but it isn't turned on yet. The River is beautiful and there is a paved walking path. This is our go to stay when heading through this area.

OK, this is a FREE City Park and as such this is a great park for any overnight stop. We have even stayed two nights while exploring the area. Nice, safe clean and paved....what more can you ask for when it is FREE????

Free City Park! The parking is kind of random, but there are tables that mark spots. Also, city dumped snow in a large area making it unusable. However, that will be gone soon and it will be useable. The river and trails are beautiful. Sleeping with the sound of rushing water. We came for one night and stayed two. The bathrooms are closed because of covid right now. Tents can go on the grass. The grass is green and well maintained.

We had heard such great things about this park, but we’re unable to stay. I had not expected the park to be so busy on a Tuesday afternoon that all the area set aside for RV parking was filled with random cars. I am not complaining about a free city park, just warning people not to plan on it.

Beautifully maintained park with RV freestyle camping along a gorgeous rushing river. Tent camping on green manicured lawns. Camped by the bridge connecting to a series of grassy forested trails. Met several locals. Very much a community feel. Thank you Lander for the great stay!

Nice little campground attached to a park with a walking path and a creek to lull you to sleep. Bathrooms could have used soap. One of them didn’t have water - but I had my own supplies so it was doable. Great town - wonderful restaurants. Just passing through, but I’d definitely come back!

Great free city park camping. With river & grass for tents, it is clean too, let’s all keep it that way. The City also has free dump station too. Thanks Lander, the world needs more people like you.

Two thumbs up for this courtesy campsite offered by the City of Lander. I was here two nights (max is 3) while waiting out a snow storm. Not only is this site on the edge of town, but it is bordered by a stream, park and walking path. Very quiet, safe and peaceful. Thank you Lander!!

We stayed here for 2 nights in mid June in a truck camper. Beautiful riverside spot with trees. Restrooms with flush toilets were adequate. Potable water spigot outside of restroom. Beautiful park with picnic tables, grills, grassy tent camping spots under large trees. Playgrounds, trails. Nearby Sinks Canyon for hiking. Friendliest town we’ve been to in a long time. Nice local restaurants. We felt very safe here.

We have a pickup truck pulling a cargo trailer turned camper and stayed here 2 nights on business. Nice place but not good for big RVs. Very close spots and need to be a good navigator but such a pretty spot along the river with trails and a park next door. We loved it.
