Absolutely beautiful and pleasantly surprised as this was the first time staying at a BLM site. The Host was so helpful and knew exactly what was open ... thank you for keeping the place up so well!

The place is beautiful - as previously posted. The Camp Host I dealt with was less than pleasant. Apparently, there is a Group section of six sites that are reservable for groups - but open when not booked by a group. I was there on 8/21 and moved to a space because my neighbors near spot 19 were letting their dogs roam without a leash. There were no groups marked to stay until the 24th - So this looked out of the way enough to not deal with loose dogs.
A Camp Host lady stopped me and said I could not camp here - I mentioned that the sign said it was first come if not reserved and the signed said the next reservation was not until the 24th - she said that may be wrong she hadn't checked and that I could stay but may have to move.
The next thing I know the loop was coned off, but there were no reservations marked before the 24th.
I am sorry - there is no reason to not allow someone to camp in the area if the signs say it is allowed - and no one is bothered. I was bothered that they made camping in an open space an issue - while allowing dogs to roam off-leash.

Beautiful location with spacious sites.
Great for boating and fishing.
Nice trails and walks by the river and through the hills. The view is wonderful.
Vault toilets are all that is here - with a few water hoses.
