Perfect place to stay for a couple of days with free (donations accepted) electricity. The park is safe, well maintained, and the people are friendly. Dump, potable water, and electricity FREE. The public pool is nearby and I hear they have showers.

Love this place! We arrived after dark in a snowstorm. The electric sites were level and the multiple power options are great. We heard the train twice but it is not a bother. The playgrounds would be great for kids. We were happy to leave a donation.

Another very satisfied camper! 6 sites with 20/30/50 A service. Another 6 sites for tent or boondocks. Water hydrant available near donation box. Next to train tracks but only 2 trains during early evening. About 1 mile east of I-25. Well-lite at night. Quiet. Pool open into late evening; a great location to exercise the kids after a day in the vehicle. 3 days camping allowed in 30-day period.

We stayed July 12,2019 in our 30’TT. This place is AMAZING! The sites are over to the side in a designated area, with electricity! There is a great park that is very well kept with lots of different play equipment. They have a tennis court, basketball court, skate park, and disc golf for free. They also have a pool/water area for a small fee, and a brand new put put golf area, $3 for kids and $5 for adults. There were a few other campers there when we arrived but it didn’t fill up. The dump station is across the street and was clean. We left a donation to help keep great parks like this available!

Drove in-no sign of any electric sites-the few sites we saw were slanted beyond leveling-there were 3 deserted campers-not sure what happened since previous reviews but it was horrible!

I agree with about everything in previous reviews! Great small town park that beats the heck out of private RV Parks in town.....in my opinion! While I love FREE, if I was town I would provide a picnic table for each site and charge $15-$20 a night on the honor system!, also did I mention town has a brewery and steak house and off leash dog park!! Hats off to Wheatland!

Great spot for free. Sites fairly level, gravel, and mown grass/weeks. Electricity available at 5 of the spots. Community water available across the driveway. RV Dump less than a block away. Swimming pool and playground within walking distance. Baseball fields nearby so a little noise from the children. Train tracks are very close. I did not hear them while sleeping, but definitely loud during the day. Donation box at water station. I will stay here again if I pass through.
