We were very pleased by the friendliness of staff when we made our reservation. Very helpful in finding local businesses to accommodate our needs.
Pleasant surroundings. We would stay here again.

This was the first time we stayed at a koa and the entire experience was horrible. We made reservations for a monthly and called twice for confirmation. We were staying at a different campground and decided to switch due to the amenities and price offered by the koa. Thank god we didn't come all the from az to this place. We are here for work reasons and my fiance took his only day off from a 60 hr work week to move locations. When we pulled in they put us at a site under neath a half dead tree that could fall at anytime. The advertized wifi did not work and the lady at the office said to sit in the laundry room. The restrooms were dark and dated. The mosquitos were thick. The next night at 9 pm we got a knock at the door from a koa worker telling us we weren't supposed to be there... and after a slight argument of confusion due to the fact we paid, and they made an error. .. we were treated as if it was our problem. They did offer the site at the regular daily rate. With 10% off if we bought the koa card. This daily rate was way more than we were paying at the the other place. I spoke with management and she could only treat me like I was the one that made the mistake and kept being told about the waiting list for monthly sites... i said I understand mistakes happened but being tricked and trapped in to a higher rate wasn't right. And being 4th of July weekend we could of lost our spot at the other campground. The proceeded in trying to give a discount here or there by giving a total amount and then when I divided it she was just trying to trick me and make me feel like she was doing something for the inconvenience. When I pointed out the manipulation she said she would match our rate frome other campground, but with tax... sorry but that's not what price matching is especially with loss of cable and wifi. All if this at night and my fiance had to work 10 hrs the next day. So I told them they needed to give us chance to get our spot back at other campground. The next day I was able to move back but we lost our rate and had to pay $240 more for the month than if we would have if we hadn't of left. The koa charged us for both nights and late check out and knew that I had to pack up our travel trailer by myself all with my 5 mos baby while my fiance was at work. Not due to the mistake, but due to the treatment of this facility KOA WILL NEVER BE A FIRST CHOICE, our family will stick with private family owned campgrounds.
