Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Five River Campground.
Road to: It is a long ways from any main interstate or highway. The road is very narrow and twisty.
Road inside: Mostly gravel and they do have a several potholes.
Trees: The trees at the exit gate needs to be trimmed. Hits the RV to matter how hard you try to miss it.
Check in: Small guard shack at entrance. There is no office.
Parking: None, just stop at guard shack.
Seasonal campers: Yes, not in very good condition.
Signage: Good
Site A: Grass and gravel pad. Not level at all. None of the ones on that row are level. There are no picnic tables at any of the sites due to flooding. Site has lots of muddy areas in front and on the side. No good view of anything. Site backs up to river, but still not a good view and you cannot access the river.
View: View of river in the back, but not a nice view and has too many bushes.
Site spacing: Good spacing.
Bathhouse: Did not see.
Laundry room: Did not see.
Swimming pool: None, but they do have a nice beach area they made about 10 sites down the road.
Club house: No.
Fitness area: No.
Restaurant: No.
Grounds: Not very nice. Could use improvements.
Air TV: None. The cable tv is terrible. Very fuzzy. Not good.
Wifi: None.
So here is the bad:
1) They do not show their whole campground on their online map. It is missing about 50 good sites along the river and in the shade. They are the only descent sites and you have no way of knowing about them.
2) No office, just a guard shack.
3) Many of the sites are not level.
4) Cable tv was not good. No wifi and no air tv.
5) Site was very muddy. Needs leveling and have grass or rock put down.
6) Trees at exit need to be trimmed so it does not hit RV.
7) Sewer hook up was too high in the back. Had to manually lift hose to drain. No hose bridge would every be enough.
I would NOT come back.
