Camped two nights Fri-Sat Sep 13-14 w/reservations, site #232; plenty of available sites. Clean and well maintained facility. Fairly quiet except for some highway and train noise in the background. Hiking on park roads and kayaking on the LaCrosse River ... easy couple hour trip from the dam at Hwy 108 down to the park, with some minor rapids along the way.

July 16 - 19 Veterans Memorial Campground. N4668 County Rd VP, West Salem WI Phone 608-789-8599. No Reservations needed. We stayed 3 nights for $110.00. Electric and water. We stayed in site 101 which was grass covered, level and shaded. Good WiFi and on-air TV. Bathrooms were modern, close and clean. Shower was 25 cents for 5 Minutes. 5 stars. Close to River. Seemed quiet and well managed. Laundry and wood on site.

Bicycle Touring stayed for two-nights to meet-up with another Cyclist. Nice Showers (coinop) & Toilets. Some noisy neighbors but lots of places to move your tent to. Office w/Store was closed first night so Rode up to Dollar Store for a Hobo Dinner on the busy highway, second night ate from Camp Store. Only place I’ve ever been awakened by Moles underneath my Tent! Would definitely Camp here again!

Great site tucked into the huge veteran's park along the river. Good bathrooms/showers. Feels like you are camping on the river somewhere but really you are 5 minutes from downtown. Very affordable long term options if you want to stay the month.

Fantastic campground! Well-maintained! Everything clean-no water but they had a fill station on the way into park! Good shopping close-by!highly recommend!
