Could be better. Has big gorgeous shade trees but the drive through sites are too close together and the ground was very lumpy. The showers were non functional. The dump was also non functional. No soap in the restroom.
This place just needs a bit more love.

Pretty area with lots of grass and trees, but not well maintained, and showers were out of order.

A well maintained WA State Park (site was formerly owned by a private fishing/hunting 芒鈧搒portsman's club芒鈧). There芒鈧劉s no single big scenic attraction in the park, but there are lots of grassy open spaces, trees, nice walking trails, and a pond. The park is a unique 芒鈧搉atural芒鈧 area within the urban/suburban mini-sprawl of Yakima, WA. Camp sites and facilities are as described by previous reviewers. The RV Dump station is prominently posted to notify users of the $5 fee required. Unusual for WA State Parks, a sign correctly notes that the fee is NOT waived for WA 芒鈧揇iscover Pass芒鈧 (Annual Day Use Permit) holders (or holders of a 芒鈧揹ay use芒鈧 pass for any length of days), but IS waived for holders of the WA 芒鈧揜esources Permit芒鈧 (the state芒鈧劉s very obscurely publicized and little known $75 annual pass for use of boat ramps and/or rv dump stations). The dump facility is functional and adequate. The waste water inlet is below ground level so gravity dumping is unhindered. Rinse water is available. Fresh (potable) water is also available at a faucet a short distance ahead of the waste dump. A comment by a fellow park user suggested the dump station may be changed somehow in the near future, but no details were known, so best to call ahead to confirm availability.

Nice campground. Spacious sites. Good location in town since it is close to Wal-mart & gas stations. We stayed one night in late April. It wasn't very crowded and we would definitely stay again. No laundry facilities or I would have given it 5 stars.

It芒鈧劉s fine. Trees around the campground, but not terribly beautiful... pull throughs are in a line... feels like a grassy parking lot. We stayed overnight. It was windy, so maybe that芒鈧劉s why I didn芒鈧劉t like it, but I wouldn芒鈧劉t stay longer. You pay to shower. Bathrooms are clean. Big playground for kids. Well managed.

Stayed Monday-Wednesday. Lots of shade trees, a beaver pond with water Lillie芒鈧劉s. Duke road for walking but if you ride your bike on it you need good tires. Wineries are abundant and friendly. Fishing in the Yakima River with a short walk. Staff is friendly. Most of the RV spots are very level. The $45 fees were well worth the money.

Friendly campground. We stayed on the way north. We had a tent site for $25, full hookups were $40. Good for a few nights, I don芒鈧劉t think I would stay here for an extended period of time.

This was a very grassy/treey state park. We paid $5 extra to stay in the back-ins in the circle drives and that was money well spent. Lots of extra grass space that meant privacy compared to the closer together straight-in lineup. Plus families with children could let them play safely.
Will come hear again if visiting Yakims.
