Do not camp here in an RV unless you get an electric site. Look at Steamboat Rock State Park instead. We were booked for three nights but left after two.I don’t know where to start. We were here June 25 which is apparently a favorite time for local family reunions. Two groups of 20+ each renting two spaces then others arrive for the days in cars. They know how to work the system and park under the shades and use the spare picnic tables. The spaces are extremely close together both under the shades and on the upper loop. The spaces are short and only wide enough to get a trailer and you truck in. The locals also know they can fit their 25-30 foot motor homes under the shades…Even though the weather was in the 70’s generations were run from 7AM to 10PM, and of course they were the noisy construction generators. Apparently rules are not for them and you will hear screaming children well past 11PM.Camping in tents in this loop were also effected by the noise. Oh, I almost forgot, I walk our cat on a leash and just as I stepped out from behind our rig we were charged by an off leash German shepherd. Do not camp here.

We were looking for a CG in the general area to break up a long drive. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a weeknight in late July in our 25 foot MH.
This CG is nicely situated on a hillside along the shore of Lake Roosevelt/Columbia River. The upper loop is newer and most sites are like a paved parking lot with a few trees or shelters (caution - most have 10 feet clearance) for shade. We stayed in the lower lot which has gravel sites and a few more trees. Most are good size with some shade and little privacy and need some leveling. Most have views of the lake. There is no wifi. There's good ATT and Verizon coverage. We did not meet the host. We arrived at 5pm without reservations and were able to get a site.
The CG is a short walk to a nice swim beach and 3 miles to the Grand Coolee Dam and Visitor Center.

Campground has an upper and lower section. Lower area has several loops in a lightly wooded area. Upper loop has fewer trees but there are a series of carport like structures over paved parking pads with dividers between sites. Most sites have a nice view of the lake.
