Very nice, clean campground. No bug problems at all. Showers still closed due to pandemic, but restrooms open and clean.

Nice clean park with spacious sites on water but I do NOT recommend this campground. The spiders are terrible. We were here less than 14 hours to sleep before moving on and the spiders invaded the RV. As soon as we awoke, we started finding them... we have found them in the cabinets, on walls, light fixtures, bedding, window coverings, shower floor, cup holder, and outdoor storage bins. I began searching internet for reviews of the campground to see if others had the same issue and to try to identify the type of spider and found others complaining about the spider problem there. Never ever will be camp here again.

Were surprised after paying for campsite that showers were not free. A unique place right on the river and was clean and neat. Very hot when we were there in July. Enjoyed the walk up to the amphitheater which overlooks the river.

We cruised in around 6 on a Saturday night no reservation. Full, but we were offered an overflow spot near boat ramp or stay in nice shaded parking lot near swimming area. They were very accommodating. Truck with camper $10. Got to swim at night then morning before hitting road. Showers were free! Nice hot water and very clean. Very impressed
Land is owned by ACE
but leased out to private management.

Campsite was OK but $39 was excessive for a small tent trailer also the host who's trailer was across from our campsite had a real personality issue he waited until we got our camper set up and then came and told us we had to move it I knew he watched us to set it up in the wrong place because I could see him looking out the window at us he could've come over and said hey you can't set up there prior to our setting it up also paying for the showers was excessive as far as I am concerned because we paid so much for the campsite to begin with

Really enjoyed our stay. Main sites are all pull outs with neighbors either to the front or rear of your rig. Lots of green space between you and the water if on the outside. Restrooms are old but clean and functional. Nice walk around the island or in my case, a nice 2 mile kayak paddle. Staff is friendly and helpful. Road noise, but not obnoxious. Easy drive and beautiful scenery, except the short drive through Clarkston. Lots to do in the area. Close to town for shopping or dining.

Not pleased to find an Army Corp of Engineers campground that does not honor Golden Age pass. They cite the private management group as the reason. We have stayed at numerous NFS that use private management groups and honor the pass. $28 too much for a tent site with road noise from US 12.

This is a nice campground, I found it a bit overcrowded, There was no way to tell what part of the campsite was yours or theirs, WHATCH out for skunks they come out at night and there are allot of them we had 2 dogs get sprayed, No signs saying watch out for skunks. Also there is a sprinkler schedule. This requires you to pack up anything you don't want to get wet and move it. This took about 2 hours or more out of our day moving our stuff around. Nice place but pain in the rear end. Not going back.
