Great place. Both the pull through and back in sites with patios are very large. Big rig friendly. The pool looked very clean the bathhouse was clean. The pond looks awesome. All the staff we spoke with were great! FYI There are a lot of long term campers. But in no way does the place resemble a trailer park. This is a great place for both short term and long term sites. Would like to add, this place was extremely quiet at night and I mean quiet! If you are in a group looking for a campground to party all night long I am not sure if this is the place for you. We enjoyed it so much we rebooked for July.

Big Bear is a great family campground. Large 30/50 amp sites, primitive camping, small lake for fishing and paddle boating. There are a number of permanent and seasonal sites there. We stayed one night and it was very peaceful. New owners have lots of great development potential. It is a little off the beaten path but still close by to tourist locations like Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and the like. We look forward to camping there again soon.
