We just finished a seven night stay. We were in G31. Upon arrival a ranger met us at the gate and escorted us to our spot, helped us back in. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Wifi worked well as did our power/water. T Mobile signal is weak. Middle of the week there were only 8 sites occupied. Over the weekend it is completely full. On the weekends there are many young families with kids riding bikes etc and adults in golf carts. They had a live band at the outside pavillion. Over all fairly noisy dirung the day but quiets by 10:30pm. Air gets pretty heavy with smoke from the campfires. During this week everything outside got covered in tree sap-including our new truck. No way to avoid it. Section G is the only short term RV section, the rest is all long term/seasonal spots.

I arrived on a Saturday night without a reservation, they squeezed me in to a tent site. It was a gong show Saturday night Halloween everything! But the tent sites are away from the big RV sites in a nice wooded area with a stream. Hot showers, garbage dump, water from a spigot, very nice staff, a bit noisy on the weekend but I stayed to work online , decent cell reception. Firewood for sale, snack bar on weekends.

We have stayed here in many occasions and refer to it as our favorite place. We could go on about this campground from how awesome the lake is, amenities for the kids, and how awesome the staff is. We started out tent camping, stepped it up to a pop up, and now in our travel trailer. 5 stars for sure

The campground is huge but well maintained, but it's the noiseiest campground we've ever visited. Ok for families with kids but if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing place, look elsewhere. We don't like loud, overcrowded places.

The friendliest & most helpful owners & staff I've met at any campground anywhere, and we've been to some great campgrounds. Very clean and maintained park. Plenty of activities for children and adults.

1St, the phone number listed is wrong, correct is 540-337-2267, our stay during the week after Labor day , was quiet and secluded, with the lake and activities for the kids I can see this place hopping on weekends, lots of updates , mostly seasonal sites separate from the Daily ones, very nice place

Pros: spots were adequate. Facilities were nicely maintained. Staff was friendly. Snack bar by lake had good food at good prices.
Cons: lake area played extremely loud music all day. Pavilion area had DJ booming well into the night on Saturdays. Dump station not maintained well. The continuous flow of golf carts on gravel covered everything in dust.
Not the place for a relaxing weekend.

This is an awesome family campground! It's an older park, with new owners. They are working very hard to make sure everyone has the best possible family camping experience in VA! Clean facilities, fun activities, and awesome customer service!
