Used the campground for two nights while our son was visiting Liberty. Met our needs perfectly. Staff was very friendly. With only being there two nights we used the bath house instead hooking up the sewer. The bathhouse was clean and worked very well. We would definitely stay here again.

Very pretty campground and site 5 was a large gravel, semi level, pull thru. But as earlier reviews say, the extras are less than great. No wifi except at office, poor cell service, satellite couldn’t connect, and the lowest water pressure I have experienced in years of traveling. Showering could be problematic if you don’t have a pump for extra pressure. On the plus side, it certainly was peaceful. Seemed to have lots for kids to do if that’s important.

Nice campground just poor amenities where it counts. Advertise WiFi, but only in clubhouse not at campsite. Laundry is $3.00 to wash in only COLD water. Water heater is not broken. Both hoses from the washer go to a splitter on the COLD water spout!! Not happy at this price.

We stayed one night on site 45 and it was lovely! It was a Wednesday so I am sure weekends and holidays are different but it was very peaceful and quiet. We had a nice view of the lake and although we didn’t use it, it looked like a fun place to swim. Likewise we walked down to the pool and kids and a few adults were enjoying it and it appeared maintained. No problems with check in and the employees were pleasant the bathhouse we used was very clean and decent water pressure. Lots of open spaces and didn’t feel crowded like you do in so many other places. Appears to have plenty to entertain children and looks to have a lot of seasonal residents. Place appears to be well kept and had a nice feel to it. We will return!

Stayed several nights in park in 45 ft coach. Nice gravel sites. Looks like many improvements because experienced zero issues that other folks described in reviews that are several years old. Park is clean and well maintained.

This is our 2nd time here. We love the place. The sites are gravel a level. There is a nice concrete pad and picnic table. The park is clean, well maintained with lots of trees. Staff is friendly. There are a number of RV’s that are permanently park. Small on site lake for swimming and fishing. Very close to a number of historical site. Recommend making reservations at least a week or two in advance because the fill up fast

Late checkin: envelopes, a board with open site numbers, but no maps. Fortunately we had found one on their web site (though not a menu choice on their site) and so made do without. Tried out a few different sites to find something close enough to level.

One shower used had reversed hot and cold water, a safety issue. Other shower used was right out of M*A*S*H, with a pull rope for water, no temperature control.

Expensive for the region, but not much else in the area so that has some impact I suppose. Looks like it'd be nice for kids with a nice waterfront on a small, man-made lake.

First the good. The campground is in a nice setting with plenty of room for kids to play in the grass, ride their bikes or just have a good time in the playgrounds. The lake in the summertime is an added bonus on hot days. Many activities pre-planned for campers.
Now for the problem areas. The road into the park is randomly patched with blacktop and makes the ride very bumpy. Shakes your RV so batten down the hatches. The biggest risk for a big rig is the overhanging and protruding trees. We couldn't use our satellite dish because of the overhead limbs. Unfortunately, we stayed during heavy rains. There was red mud everywhere. No cable or Wi-Fi (except at the office) so the daily rate seems high compared to other parks offering more amenities. If you want to stay near Lynchburg or Appomattox there aren't many choices for RV parks. This one is acceptable but could be improved.
