Came to stay close to ODU. We arrived around 9pm, and if this wasn芒鈧劉t on a DOD installation, I would not stayed. I agree with the reviewer who commented that it looked like a run down trailer park.
So many huge pot holes filled with water, that someone put up a 芒鈧揘o Wake芒鈧 sign. Sites are very close together, that I was uncomfortable, and the road thru the park is narrow and tightish turns. But to each his own. Just an opinion.

Good RV Park.
You will become extremely proficient at backing because the spaces are very small.
Small, quiet, and shaded. It芒鈧劉s woodlands inside a city.
Onbase with fishing, SUP, marina, NEX, and Commissary.
No dedicated dog park, but the base is walkable.
Tips:
1) place has a tendency to flood (and stay flooded). Purchase pads for your rig and POV!!
2) Hughes surge protector/ voltage regulator!!! The voltage drops to 113v AV in peak demand times.
3) mosquito repellent. The Navy has a nature preserve across the street and it floods here.

Super friendly gal, Lisa, who took reservation & checked us in....very small roads with trees. Nice pads & good electricity. Many sites you can芒鈧劉t get satellite. Lots of full-timers there to include active duty & retirees. Supposedly 1/3 of spots saved for 芒鈧搕ransitional芒鈧 guests....would芒鈧劉ve given it 4 stars but for issues listed above

We had a WPNDERFUL time. The camp host was great and super helpful! The laundry is free with excellent machines. The camp bathroom and showers were very clean! Close to the NEX and Commissary and gas station!!! We would definitely stay again!!! Highly recommended!!!!

We recently drove thru planning on trying to stay and were so disappointed as to the state of this park. It looked like a low end trailer park. Unkept and messy. What has happened
