Had a late check in because weather closed the bridge to trucks and rvs. Spots mostly gravel, some were grass. Busy coming into a holiday weekend, bathrooms dated but clean considering the amount of traffic. Fishing pier and beach were nice walks most with boardwalks, concrete ships were something to see. Overall nice state park, office ladies were exceptional.

Beautiful State Park. The site sizes will accommodate all size rigs. Spotless facilities- well managed. Highly recommend.

Stayed here one night. It was like a big field of grass with some hookups. Lots of people here. They have a strange site allocation. Some are reserved sites but most are non specific reservations. Drive around and find one you like. Nice hiking. Nice bay location. Concrete ships were cool and kayak trips to them looked interesting. Probably would stay again but sites are close together. Restrooms were fair.

Reserve America showed about a dozen spots available, but when I tried to reserve, it said none were available. It also said the price was $40. We took a chance and turned in. Many spots were empty. The camp host told us spots with brown signs were first come first served. We paid at the office the next morning and were shocked at the $54 price. Nice park, but too pricey.

The park is clean and well maintained. We stayed in a full service site which is appreciated in a State Park. The sites are close together and lined up. There are a few trees between sites for shade. If you are a birder, this park is for you. The camp are is not the focus of this park. There is a nice sand beach, boat ramps for salt fishing, and several trails to habitats of different birds.

We have used Kiptopeke SP in the past as a stopover before we get to the CM Lewes Ferry. It used to be a reasonable $30-32 a night but now at $52, we’ll never stay again. Back to the rest area for free! Sorry VA State Parks, you raised your fee too high. You are not a KOA.

Nice campground and beautiful state park. Full hookups on most sites and the beach is really pretty. Not much privacy between the sites though.

Not bad for a one night stop and checking out Cape Charles. Pricy for a sate park. Safe spacious, most sites are leveled. None are concrete pads, so if you come during a rain you will have to deal with some mud.

$51.00 for the night??. I was told that the high cost was because I was from out of state and Virginia doesn't give a senior discounts? Surprise! Most expensive state park in the 23 states we've visited and probably the least attractive. If not late in the day, I would have moved on. Come on Virginia you an do better then this.
