If you call the NF number there is a recording with the open status of the campground. I went first week of muzzle-load deer season not knowing that’s the week this campground is PACKED. As mentioned in a previous review, there are only two large sites on the LEFT. You cannot go around the loop. Bridge coming in has a bus limit of 18 tons, but don’t bring your bus up here. I was a 30 foot Airatream and parked in site 3. Site 4 would have been good too. Had to do a theee point on one corner but otherwise made it around the loop, carefully! Beautiful and remote despite only being 15 minutes from the freeway! Road in comes along a river that is a nice walk and some people were fishing. Too many trees for solar. Verizon 1-2 bars with or without my huge directional booster but even with booster not enough for data except occasional sips. Have to get almost back to the freeway to get better Verizon.

Great campground! A bit off the highway but not too far. Beware of low hanging branches on the narrow two lane getting in. The site was perfect for camping. A gorgeous stream ran through. Each site had a table and fire pit. Only two sites in the whole campground were accessible to anything larger than 33 overall length. Sites 15 and 16 are to the left of the entrance. Pull in to the right and then back in to them. Camp host warned us that big rigs can’t drive the loop around. Too tight. Camp hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable. Dry camping only! $10 There is a dump station (no water) on the way out.
