Closest to Moab of the many BLM campgrounds along the scenic route. During COVID, half are closed, but this was open. Very busy and campsites are hard to come by. We stayed first night in center campsite closer to road but moved to a riverside campsite for two nights. Campsite (#15) had a path down to the Colorado River, which we dipped into periodically during the raging midday heat. Backs to a sheer canyon wall that marks a border of Arches NP. Passable Verizon service. Clean pit toilet.

Location is 5 star. Some sites pretty large. Road noise from highway during day but reasonably quiet at night. Tough to get in. Show up early in morning. Also talk to camp host if full - he is very helpful and will let you know when people are leaving.

Nice off the grid campground. We stayed right on the Colorado river with some incredible views. I took one star off because the 'pit' toilets were very, very nasty.

Nice BLM camp. Quite a few around here but this one can take bigger rigs. Great location.
