Camped at Big Bend resort and adventures Campground (5th wheel) in April 2016 and everything was fine. Only about half the RV sites were in use. This year we had a group of four RVs with reservations in March. The park was full due to spring break. When we arrive we were told by other campers the park had lost power the night before. Daytime temperatures were in the high 80s. After getting parked we discovered two of the four sites we had been assigned had low voltage < 104. I use a surge/low voltage protecting device. Whenever I attempted to run the AC units the protection device would trip. Slept that night without AC. One friend burned out an AC unit running it on low voltage. Although we were booked for five nights we only stayed one. The folks at the front desk acted like they were surprise there was an electrical problem and blamed the electrical company. However one of the maintain staff told us this had happened before and he had encourage the manager not to fully book the park because the electrical system was inadequate.

The tent sites at this place are just dirt lots, with nothing provided, not even picnic tables! Bathrooms not clean. No shade or scenery. (This would matter less to RVs). The two nice things were the friendly staff and proximity to west entrance of Big Bend NP.

First of all, remember you are in the desert. Prices for items like gas and groceries and dining will be a little bit higher than normal, but they are reasonable. I feel that some of the other reviews of this park are unfair. The park clearly states that Wi-Fi is available in the game room only. Cable did not work at our site, we stayed at number 47, but we didn't come to the desert to watch tv either. The restrooms were clean when we stayed there and again the park was very clear that it would be two dollars for six minute shower.

The RV sites are very spacious and are on the desert floor so some campers may need to be prepared for leveling. We stayed for six days and this campground made for a perfect Basecamp to venture into Big Bend national Park and Big Bend Ranch state park. There are plenty of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, golfing, horseback trail riding, river rafting, 4-wheeling, watching the moon rise over the mountains or shooting stars at night, etc.

At $29 per day, during Spring Break, it was an awesome adventure. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great place to explore Big Bend.

Wifi only works in cafe and game room!! Cell tower works for Verizon. Turned on iPhone hot spot and wifi worked great. My Verizon hot spot would not work. $32.00 per night.

I'm on the fence between 2 and 3 stars. Site is spacious enough, hookups work fine and office staff friendly, but upkeep on the park is way below par. Bathrooms dirty and dank. Laundry room is large, but 6 of 12 machines out of order with same ratio of working dryers. All machines filthy and if any of your clothes touch the floor you better wash them again. WiFi, even with our booster and being in spot closest to their antenna is awful. Would not stay here again.

We stayed two nights. The bathrooms were dank and smelly, and the showers did not look clean. For a pay shower ($2 = 6 minutes) I expect clean facilities.

The water faucet was broken at the site we were assigned, so we had to get another site. It apparently had been capped but not repaired to be usable, and they had known about it for at least a week.

We had to search for the sewer hook up - it was burned beneath grass and dirt - and dig it out.

Wi-Fi is "available" at the cafe - not at the sites. Cell service is spotty, even with Verizon.

I would not return to this RV park.

Parent Company is the Concessionaire that runs the Full Hook-Up RV Park in Big Ben NP. It is a decent place to stay when visiting the Park. As of 10/2016 a campsite was $29 and showers were $2 for six minutes.

Tidy site. All gravel but well maintained. I would think it is very muddy in wet weather. Clean bathrooms. Pay extra for showers. Handy cafe , gas station and store on site.
