Absolutely awful. There must have been many parties over the Easter weekend, but no one available for (or interested in) cleaning up afterward. Trash was EVERYwhere! Although we had a two-day reservation, we left on the first full day. Too disgusting. We would have left upon arrival if we had someplace else to go.

Nice park. Crowds were unbelievable due to Easter celebrations of large families. Staff was just not able to keep up with keeping the facilities clean. Would go there again at another time and the rating might be higher.

My wife and I stayed two nights here in April, 2017. We both loved the place. Despite the warnings about the potential for [bad] war-related dangers, we felt completely safe. About every third vehicle is some kind of cop. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sites (water & electric) were private and well thought out. The bathhouse near us was clean and more than adequate for the few people using the park at the time we were there - typical compared with other parks we've stayed at in TX and elsewhere. The location was okay as a base to explore the Rio Grand valley from about Mission upriver to Falcon Lake and perhaps a little beyond. It's very rural and quiet. There's a lot of wildlife in the park. We saw scissortail flycatchers, roadrunners, pyrrhuloxia and bobwhite, collared peccary (javelina), whitetail deer and bobcat in the brief time we were there. I'd definitely visit again and recommend the park to anyone visiting the area.

Staff was helpful. Great place.
