Nice sites. We were on site 8 right on lake. Might be hot in summer as no trees but great in spring. Bathrooms clean and water hot and plenty of pressure. Would come back if in area. Only downside is it way back from visitor center. No internet either

My wife and I stayed for two nights with our dogs. The park was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. We will definitely be back!

Pin Oak campground is pristine. Two lane & slightly curvy plus hilly roads connect the various state campgrounds. One is even set up for horses. I only was able to stay for a night so can not comment on the amenities. The RV sites are level with long pull-thru & have water, electricity, sewage. The bathhouse is a short walk away & uses a lovely bridge to cross a ravine. The showers were clean & spacious. The host was especially helpful as I was in a tornado a week ago in Temple, TX. He used his ladder to check my roof & fortunately found no holes. Looks like a lovely place to stay longer. The sites on either side of me were towing fishing boats.

Stayed 1 night. If you have a 30’ plus rig be careful at the visitors center - slopes and tight turns. Camp site was really nice and overlooking the lake. Paved roads with gravel sites. Some sites slope. Good water, sewer and electric. 2 bars LTE for Verizon and ATT. Nice views and a great stay. About 11 miles from I-20 on paved road.

Very nice SP. Only drawback I found was connectivity. OTA channels practically non-existent, all are constantly cutting in and out. Cell is practically nonexistent 1 sometimes you can coax 2 bars temporarily at Pin Oak Campground. Wifi simply is nonexistent.
Staff are very friendly and helpful especially Park Rangers.
Restrooms, laundry etc were all clean and maintained.
Will be back but solution to connectivity first.

Good place for horses. Toilets were pretty dirty. Not usable for us. Hopefully it was just bad timing for the cleaning schedule.
