This is one of those campgrounds that I wish we had planned to stay longer. Sure, no sewage hook-up, but it鈥檚 so peaceful. Sites are large, equipped with grill and fire pit. No one standing over you constantly, yet it is patrolled regularly. Other campers are nice and respectful. Beautiful view of the cove from our living area window. Squirrels abound. They didn鈥檛 bother me but I wish ants were sprayed before we got here. The one washer and one dryer cost only a dollar, but did not function properly, Small little beach and boat ramp to launch the Kyak. Small boat dock in the cove. So relaxing. We will be back

A truly beautiful campground in wooded setting on the banks of a lake. Pleasant experience starting with making reservation. We were in #14-level concrete pad. Most sites appeared level. Bathroom/showers clean with a complementary supply of toiletries in the women鈥檚 BR. Water and electric Convenient dump site. Our only regret is that we couldn鈥檛 stay longer.

What a hidden gem. Wooded setting on a lake with a little beach. We were lucky enough to get lot 19-right in front of lake. Water and electric only. There is a dump station. Laundry and dryer ($1.00 ea). The campground is not on the base proper. The commissary and exchange are small but provides what you need. The staff was very nice. There is a marina at ODR and there are also docks at the FamCamp.

We haven芒鈧劉t been to a lot of military famcamp but a handful of times and to us, this is by far the best so far. The setting is a serene wooded area in front of a lake. We were in slot #7 and it is perfectly level. Like others have said, getting on your slot could be a challenge as the campground is on a hillside but they made the RV pads level. We were only at the campground for one night but I wouldn芒鈧劉t mind staying there longer. We don芒鈧劉t mind a communal dump site as long as there is one. I can just sit outside and look out at that lake all day and I芒鈧劉m happy and satisfied.

Beautiful wooded lake setting. Well kept gravel roads. Level concrete pad (site 35). Clean bathhouse(no A/C). This would be considered some what of primitive campground with water and electric. Some sites have a steep gravel driveway up to the concrete pad(I had to put 6芒鈧 of blocks under my trailer Tounge before I could get the trailer off the hitch. The pad was level but the driveway was steep). The Rec. Dept. charges your credit card for your full stay when you make your reservation. The things that would make this a 5 star campground are 1. Rec. Dept. charge 1 night on credit card as a deposit. 2. Make the driveway not so steep. 3. Better Wi-Fi. 4. More washers & dryers even if they were coin operated(they have only one for +- 40 camp sites. 5. Sewage at each site(they only have a dump site). We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

My rating of 3 is an average of the setting芒鈧..beautiful, wooded, lakeside芒鈧γ⑩偓娄芒鈧nd the facility. Our spot is level, but I will not be using the showers or bathrooms. The 芒鈧搇aundry芒鈧 is 1 stackable unit, and an outside sink. One small washing machine for maybe 30-40 camping spots.

In all my travels this is by far the worst fan camp I have ever seen. All the so call pad are so unlevel that you will need a step ladder to get into your rig and it芒鈧劉s still not level. The staff is trying to run the camp without even going to the camp. They should all be fired. I know the USAF can do betterthen this

Great setting along the man-made lake (used for cooling of testing facilities at Arnold AFB). Convenient drive to Lynchburg (Jack Daniels). Couple of hours to Nashville and about an hour to Chattanooga. Quiet. Cost is exceptional. Only reason not 5 stars is no sewer hookup.

We camped for 3 days in January 2021. We too found the 4 ton restriction on the road leading out to it a little concerning. Talked to a local and it芒鈧劉s mostly to prevent semi芒鈧劉s from using it as a shortcut through the base. We have a large Class C with a toad. The roads around/through the camp are gravel and it is tight getting around but it just takes a little care. Saw Class A and several 5th wheels on site. There are water and electricity at sites. Dump station on site. Sites are nice concrete pads. Some back right up to the lake. We didn芒鈧劉t use any of the other facilities but really enjoyed the campground. If you want a resort this isn芒鈧劉t it. If you want a heavily tree lined camp with lake views this is it. TV and Verizon signal good. We芒鈧劉d not hesitate to stay here again. $22 per night I believe. Office lady was very friendly and promptly returned our phone calls.

One of the poorest maintained military RV parks I've been in. The interior roads are gravel and washed out in many places, l had to clean packed dirt from one leg of my 50 amp receptacle and the place was in serious need of mowing. We were here because of it's location to the Jack Daniels distillery we wanted to visit. If you're more than 30' be careful moving in and through plus be aware there is a 4 ton causeway on one route in. Registration is several miles distant with not a lot of room to maneuver. Make reservations and then use your dinghy to go to register. ATT phone service is poor and their Wifi is weak.
