Still hard up about an arbitrary 3pm check in time which is difficult being a military family moving across the country. Was told to park in the Kroger parking lot and come back later. We travel and move frequently and this is the first park unable to be helpful.

One of the nicest COE campgrounds we芒鈧劉ve stayed in. Lucked into an open space, likely someone else芒鈧劉s cancelation. Arrived to find a perfectly level site on the water that was ideal for our class B. As we were performing in Nashville, this place provided a haven of quiet and calm away from the hectic downtown. While the campground was full, there is plenty of space between sites.

As a full time Rver this park has been one of the better parks I have stayed in. Nice view of the lake and ample space between sites. My only regret is that I only signed up for 3 nights! Next time I will stay longer!!

Scratching my head at the negative reviews. Seriously, this is a COE park not an RV Resort. For the price this is extremely difficult to beat. If there was a downside it might be the Weekend Warriors that show up on Thursday or Friday with all their toys/jet skis/golf carts/a dozen screaming kids and 12 six packs of Bud. During the week you can enjoy the peace and quiet, the large sites, and everything Nashville has to offer. Do know that weekends and holidays it is Katie Bar the Door. Tennessee rednecks can party for 3-days unceasing. With all that said this is our campground of choice when visiting Nashville.

This COE campground is beautiful. We stayed for one night, mad our reservation on line while traveling from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania with lonely a slight operator problem using Recreation.gov. I found this COE site by using Allstay app-fantastic tool for traveling. When we arrived we were greeted by the host who had our reservation, a map, and talked us thought how to maneuver into our pull thru at night, and gave us helpful hints on aligning up to the black water dump station in the morning. Our site was beautiful, well kept, and so roomy. We will be back, but next time we芒鈧劉ll go for a lakeside site!

Made a reservation based on our rig size; however we didn芒鈧劉t fit because trees interfered with slide out and tree branches were too low. Pay real close attention to the photo shown on website for site you芒鈧劉re selecting! Agree with previous review - camp hosts were rude and not helpful. Don芒鈧劉t dare show up before 3:00 because they won芒鈧劉t let you go to your site; however you芒鈧劉ll drive by it making the loop drive to depart until check in time. Annoying to see the site was empty and ready for us at 1:00.

We camped here for the first time for 5 nights from May 6 through the 10th. Regarding a previous comment about the check-in time, it is very explicit on the reservations.gov site when booking this campground that the 3 pm check-in is strictly enforced. Furthermore, after booking, I received a reminder that the 3 pm check-in was strictly enforced so no one should be surprised about not being able to check in before 3. We have a 33 foot 5th wheel with long bed tow vehicle and did not find navigating any of the roads difficult. As with anywhere, one must be vigilant about corners and obstructions. As to being big rig friendly, I saw triple axle 5th wheels there as well as 40+ foot diesel pushers like Tiffin Phaetons. Not all sites are equal. The pull-through sites are the least big-rig friendly and some of the back-in sites have shorter level areas on which to park. Regarding the dump station, it is relatively narrow and 芒鈧揇芒鈧 shaped and could be challenging for longer rigs or less experienced drivers to navigate. One must watch tail swing when turning in as there is a power pole that could be a problem. We were on site 28, which was perfect for us. It had the site for the rv and a separate parking area for the tow vehicle. The playground and beach was directly across from our site. The per night price was a bargain at $22. The campground itself is beautiful. Heavily wooded - beautiful lake views, fishing, swimming (free loaner life vests). The showers and restrooms we found to be clean. No wifi but we had 2-3 bars of 4g LTE on Verizon. I also found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

1st of all this is a very nice park. But in my opinion it is not big rig friendly nor staff friendly. I arrived at 1:45 pm and told to leave, check in is at 3:00. If your traveling from eastern time zone it芒鈧劉s really 4:00 for you. I have a 40芒鈧劉 5th wheel and 8芒鈧劉 bed pickup. After asking if there was someplace I could park and told no, Jim suggested I loop around in the dump station. It was a narrow u-shape drive. When I got to the turn I there were dump stations on both sides of the drive with protruding concrete curbs not allowing wide turns. Without wanting to run my tires over the curbs I opted to back out. It芒鈧劉s a one lane drive around the park with tight turns. It芒鈧劉s newly paved but no consideration for the shoulders on the road. Off the paved edge your likely to have 5芒鈧-7芒鈧 drop leading to a ditch, both sides. ReservationsAmerica listed my site as 90芒鈧劉 max size. What I found was a shared drive with a down hill grade maybe -5% for about 100芒鈧劉 before veering to the right. The site was out of level 8芒鈧 front to back. I got in and there were other big rigs in there. I just would not recommend it. I would not go back.
