This park is what camping was like in the 70's. Deep forest, quiet, lots of room between sites, and NO connectivity / cell service. The rangers couldn't be nicer. At least 15 hummingbirds enjoying the feeders outside the camp office. Only 3 stars because as of Aug 15th, the aforementioned refurb has not started. Bathhouse needs to go. At least in August, the horseflies are almost as big as the hummingbirds. The park is close to downtown Memphis if you desire (25 minutes). Once the refresh is done, this will be a great park for those that want to unplug from life for awhile.

Beautiful campground. I love the 2 cul-de-sacs with the natural area in the center. There is a large inner circle with sites backing up into it & on the outside of the circle. Within the circle it is all treed with mostly grass & very little understory. So nice & relaxing looking. There is a playground for children. The bath house is terrible. However —- the campground is supposed to close in July & be totally re-done. Hopefully, the look & feel of the place will remain.

The reason I gave it four stars is because this is a very nice campground with a lot of potential. That being said they are closing it I believe in May 2023 for a year and upgrading everything which it needs. 30 minutes from Graceland. We have a 40-foot class A and had full hook ups. Very wooded and Shadey.

Bathroom was left clogged up and uncleaned all weekend. Stalls doors are 2x3 unlockable wood slates. No ATT or Verizon whatsoever. Lots of small local streets to get there takes double the time you expect. Campsite itself was nice and large. There is a noisy water pump engine that turns on irregularly all night long near the main bathroom. There are likely better choices.

We love park settings with roomy sites & trees and we got that here. Bathrooms & cell service not good but that’s not a high priority with us. Location great for going in to Memphis. Country store added bonus

This was by far the best campsite we have stayed at. We are full timers in a big 38ft rig (about 60ft overall with truck). We had a little difficulty due to our size getting into our site. But once in the site, the park was beautiful and fun. Highly recommend. This park is great for those that want to be off grid meaning no cell service. Memphis is very close for those that want to go out for music and dinner. The 3 mile loop is the best hike in the park. Lots of stairs making the hike at a moderate level.

Quiet secluded park with good spacing. Utilities are in terrible shape. We started in site 16 and were having power surges. Turns out the 30amp fuse completely fried and we had to load up and move sites, which we weren’t thrilled about. I went around checking other sites and at one of them, the 30 amp fuse almost completely fell out. After searching half a dozen sites power poles, the second site we picked had no problems with the power. The sites are all fairly unlevel. Would not stay again.

Very friendly and a nice campground. There is zero cell service. ZERO. If we didn’t need cell service for work we would’ve stayed.

Overall a nice campground with decent spacing between sites. Many spots will take effort to level though a few were fairly flat. Also, many sites are short so double check the length of site listed on website. Restrooms/showers were cleaned and stocked daily, though getting a bit worn. Much busier on the weekend being close to Memphis. Sites were well shaded. Water and electric only, with sewer dump station.
