We had a major flood here and unfortunately the park was seriously damaged.

I agree the road is very narrow and most sites slope a bit to the water. We have a Class B so it was easier to find level. The park itself is a hidden gem! Hiking trails are well marked. The replica homestead is interesting. Nice little playground. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. You can tell the park is well maintained. I would definitely stay again.

Most of what people have said is true nice enough cam-ground and most of the campers are friendly. The Davy Crockett exhibits are very interesting and the trails are easy for those stubborn kids to quickly complete and get back to the site.
As several people pointed out, the vast majority of the sites are very unlovely, requiring 6-8 inches of blocks on the downside of the slope. The sites are pretty close together and if you want your picnic table under your awning, you’ll be right next to your neighbor’s full hookups.
For Big Rig owners, I would pass on this park. Stay somewhere else and drive your toad in. The recommended road in from US-321 is VERY NARROW. We’re going to leave in the early morning to avoid any oncoming traffic as they won’t be able to pass by you without someone going into the ditch. The wife is driving the toad and run interference for the drive out.

Very family friendly CG. Sites look level but they slope towards river, make sure you have adequate leveling blocks, took all I had and I am a seasoned camper! 4 bars of Verizon and a CG WiFi system. This park has full hook ups in the pull throughs which is unusual for an SP. We will definitely come back to visit.

Great place to park, staff was very nice. The campground is very pretty with a river on one side. We found the sites to be very adequate and reasonably priced.

Someone mentioned that sites are short. I have a big 5th wheel next to me with the truck and they fit in their slot. I have a 24 foot 5th wheel and have plenty of room. We did discover that sites next to river are more expensive. We had already set up before we found that out. The only complaint is that the office was not well marked when we came in and we didn't know where to pay. It was easier to find from the Campground location. Laundry is available but not cheap. Nice view of river. Shower was clean and enjoyable. Big pool is also located in this location. That could be a negative for a quiet area during hot weather.

Tent sites along the river, RVs in 2, open, grassy loops, few trees. Sites very close, neighbor fire smoke drifted into our windows. Most sites are quite short, narrow, asphalt. Big rigs might have difficulty. Bathhouses very clean. Covered patio with rockers, open pavilion beside river. Adequate laundry. Hiking trails along the riverside. Many activities for Davey Crockett fans.

Sites are very close. Area need to be mowed, started mowing the day we left. A lot of activities for children. Restrooms were very clean. Picked up trash in dumpster but it spilled into the road no one picked it up, begin to smell when we left.
