Stayed two nights in our 39 foot class a motorhome in site 239. Site was level with room to park our pick up truck in front of the camper. Staff at the campground was great. Did not use the showers or the bathrooms, but the rest of the park was spotless! The park was a great location, as it was only 6 miles from the southwest trailhead of the Tennessee River Park bike trail. We started the trail at the Wheatland foundry parking lot and rode up to the dam and back for a total of 23 miles. When we come back to Chattanooga, we will definitely stay here!

Clean place, friendly staff, super helpful, clean facilities. Sites are what you’d expect for a pull through kinda place. Gotta take a cave tour. Just wish the go-cart track was open again. Highly recommend

Campground was clean. Staff was nice. Bathhouse was lacking a bit. Dogs barking in campers through out the day.

Not a bad place in general. Easy on off highway and great signage. The sites are really close together and we got a loud neighbor up till 1 am. Lots of construction on the campground adding sites so you have to listen to that all day. It’s expensive for what you get. Very close to activities in the area and the people who work at the campground are nice.

Raccoon Mountain Caverns and Campground is a place we regularly stay as we take off from Atlanta if we’re heading north or northeast. While the roads in the campground are skinny and gravel and uneven with tight turns, the place has a calming, laid-back atmosphere. The people behind the counter are very friendly. They have guided tours of the Caverns that we and our grandchildren have enjoyed. Our site was level, gravel, pull-through, 50amp, water and sewer. It was all we needed for an overnight stop

Nice park. Staff was friendly. Plenty of room for us in out 32’ class C. Close to stuff in and around Chattanooga. Once you get off the interstate they have great signage. You don’t have to look hard and can concentrate on driving.

Overall this is a very nice campground and well located to many popular attractions. The sites are small but seem to vary quite a bit. We were on the end near the road and consequently didn’t feel quit so hemmed in. One irritation is we initially paid for 2 days and decided to stay another day which I had indicated when we first booked. When I went to pay for the additional day the price had gone up about 20%. I was told their prices vary according to occupancy. Beware of that.

Overall nice park, Mountain View's and close to area attractions (ruby falls and rock city) Clean bathrooms and laundry facility. Staff was friendly. We originally booked two nights and decided to stay 3. They are a good sam Park. Note: when booking online no way to apply discount. She said they are trying to fix it. When we added an additional night she applied the discount for our entire stay. For those with ATVs utvs etc, there are riding trails just down the road called Aetna mountain adventures. We would stay again.

Stayed in one of the cabins, woke up with bites on body. We thought it was mosquitos but realized after having some appear even after being home that they were likely bed bug bites (bedbug bites sometimes appear up to a week after the bite). Had a trained dog inspection team come and identify the scent of bedbugs in our luggage. Beware!
