As we all know , the rec.gov app needs a lot of work. I can agree with the 5 star reviews for this location, but more than anything the camp host, Connie, went above and beyond to meet my needs. If all coe’s had a host like her, camping would be so much better.

This park is so beautiful I almost don’t want to submit a review. Gorgeous level sites (W/E) backed up to the river! Beautifully maintained. IMHO, a 6!

Totally agree with the 5 star reviews. This campground is beautiful, large level sites, many on the water. Will definitely return for an extended stay!

I have camped in many Middle Tennessee campgrounds. Lock A is the best by far. Beautiful water spots, most are paved with shade galore. Visitors come from many states to this campground because the scenery and barges going up and down the Cumberland River will thrill all members of the family. Facilities are spotless. Staff is friendly and helpful. RV spots have elec.water but no sewer. Maybe some day. Better reserve 6 months in advance on Reservations.Gov because you will be hard pressed to find a spot available without a reservation, although it can be done. Just call ahead.

Very beautiful along Cumberland River, peaceful, clean. Friendly plenty room for our Mallard 27 Travel trailer

Beautiful, spacious and easy to set up in. We love camping here while visiting in the area. The lake and barge traffic just adds to the experience of the trip. We found the grounds very well kept. We plan to be back. I do wish there were full hookups.

This is a great, spacious campground with lots of shade. Half the sites sit right on the Cumberland River. We live right up the road but love coming here in our 5th Wheel because of its beauty and relaxation.

Nice place
