We were promised a refund minus $50 for our 2021 reservation when we called in advance to cancel because of family emergency. After a couple of weeks wife called back questioning why we hadn芒鈧劉t received refund. She had to leave a message and someone no the owner called back claiming they do not give refunds. I asked to speak to the owner and was told they would call. I have left 3 messages since and still haven芒鈧劉t heard from owner. Nothing on their website or in our minimal paperwork confirming our reservation is it stated that refunds aren芒鈧劉t given.
This is a lot of money and could not in good faith recommend this campground to anyone.

Tight even in a smaller Class C. That said, location and amenities were great and staff was friendly (though not wearing masks in their office).

I read the reviews and I was a little hesitate to book it but we did. It was the best place to stay after I saw the others one this one has it down on location, amenities, cleanness, bathroom were very clean but old, showers were good but again a little old. The staff in the office are very nice. We stayed for 6 days and enjoyed our time. It was very quiet at night and it was nice to have the shelters over the tables. But you do share with another campers so you meet new people. We did not have one till two days before we left. Everything is very centrally located at this campground. Easy to get around. I would give it 5 stars but it is very tight getting out when the campground started to fill up.脗聽 The laundry facilities were also very nice and clean. I did not use the pool. Our dog loves all the new smells. No good place to walk the dog you had to go to the road and some people did not bother to pick up after their dogs. Not the campground fault just rude people with little dogs. People with little dogs pay attention and pick up after your dog. Does not matter the size people still step in it not nice when it was out our door. Take a chance and stay there you will not regret it.

Great staff. Clean campground, nice amenities, campsites are tight with trees so some sites can be difficult to navigate. Very quiet

Great Location. Close to Mt. Rushmore and Walmart. Facilities are very outdated but well kept and very clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful, they even helped us park our rig. Small selection in the shop on the premises.

Pros: convenient location for points south and friendly staff, and GSC discount
Cons: WiFi was 0.92mb download & 0.00 upload, cell service was poor, laundry equipment outdated and in poor repair, our class A was tough fitting in our assigned space with slide outs, larger RVs will not have enough room with towed vehicles parking, and park name should be changed to include Dog Park (dogs running loose and depositing anywhere)

BEWARE!
Early Sept. 2018 we reserved a 芒鈧搆itchenette芒鈧 unit at Happy Holidays Resort Motel. We found at check in:
1. Partially nonfunctioning stove, (instructed to use provided 芒鈧揾ot plate芒鈧
2. Dirty, damaged, missing cookware, flatware, dishes
3. No dish cleaning supplies (sponge, dishcloth, dish towel, paper towel)
4. Non-existent and insufficient room servicing, (poor cleaning, no bed making or fresh linen in 5 day
5. stay)
6. Lack of concern for customer satisfaction
7. Front desk refusing to provide company owner name or mailing address
8. Non responsive off site management,
9. Non-refundable deposit if you decline room after inspecting
10. Not registered with local BBB or Chamber of Commerce
This place does not deserve your business! You can do so much better nearby!

The one star is for friendly staff and the convenience to getting to Mount Rushmore. Sights way too crammed together. Some sights shared a pavilion so if you were setting at your table your neighbors table was right there with you. We was put in the back that did not share a pavilion but our neighbors were close enough to reach out and touch. We could not put our awning out because of the trees and almost couldn芒鈧劉t get one slide out. The narrow gravel drives to get to sight made it difficult to get into site. A pull thru site shouldn芒鈧劉t be that hard to get into as this was. Vehicles had to be parked in front of the rv芒鈧劉s so made it very tight. The gravel site was over grown with grass. I would not put the title resort on this facility. I芒鈧劉m sure if they would just take a little time to clean up areas by removing some trees or trimming some of them and putting fresh gravel down it would help a lot. Sites need to be spread out more. I芒鈧劉m sure it芒鈧劉s the way it is in order to get more people in. I would not recommend this place to anyone with a big rig. We would not choose to stay again because of the clutter look and tightness of the sites.

It芒鈧劉s ok, not great, not bad- PROS: Very wonderful staff, new nice laundry, close to everything without having to up & down steep grades, good water & elec. Quiet, safe nice place!! CONS: WiFi does not work, short & slightly un-level sites. Seems like a nice idea but horribly planned out shared patios. Sharing a common area with neighbors! Covered concrete picnic area with shared fire pit & 2 tables, so close to your our RV that you cannot even put your awning out or some slides. The tables we芒鈧劉re completely crawling with little red mites and other bugs all over. You do not have a slip, you share it with your neighbor so pray they are not going to utilize the fire pit and stay up all night because it芒鈧劉s right out side your RV, literally 3 feet!! Our neighbors were older and quiet and never came out so we tried to be very quiet with the kids roasting marshmallows in the evening.. just felt uncomfortable!

Like most established parks, it has pros and cons. Pro: nice people, well packed, well drained level spaces, decent restrooms with lots of hot water, and the ability to pick up a rental car at checkin. Con: some old trailers in the back row make it look much less posh, crowding and cars in every drive so getting in and out requires a little planning, slow wifi when park is at capacity. A generally good experience and I would use the park again.
